OwnMyDay ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy and your child's privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the OwnMyDay mobile application and related services.
The short version: We don't sell your data. We don't run ads. Your family's photos and schedules are private — yours alone. We only collect what we need to run the app and keep you signed in.

2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details — email address and (if you set one) display name, used to sign you in.
- Schedules and tile sets — the tiles, labels, and sequences you create.
- Uploaded media — photos and audio recordings you add to tiles. These are stored on your device by default. If you enable cloud sync or share to a clinic, they are stored on our servers (hosted on Google Firebase) for that purpose.
- Subscription info — handled through the Apple App Store or Google Play. We receive the entitlement status (Pro or not) via RevenueCat, but not your payment details.
Information collected automatically
- Device info — device type, operating system version, and app version, used for troubleshooting.
- Crash & diagnostic logs — anonymised error reports to help us fix bugs.
What we don't collect
- We don't use third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
- We don't sell data to anyone.
- We don't build advertising profiles.
3. How we use your information
- To provide OwnMyDay — signing you in, saving and syncing your schedules, and handling subscriptions.
- To keep the app working — diagnosing crashes, improving stability, and fixing bugs.
- To respond to you when you contact us.
- To comply with legal obligations.
4. Children's privacy
OwnMyDay is designed for adults (parents, carers, therapists, educators) to use with children in their care. We do not knowingly create accounts for children under 13, and we don't market to children.
If you are a parent or carer using OwnMyDay for a child, please be thoughtful about what personal information (photos, voices, names) you upload. You can delete any of it at any time.
5. Service providers
We use a small set of trusted providers to run the app:
- Google Firebase — authentication, database, cloud storage, hosting.
- RevenueCat — subscription management (Pro entitlement status).
- Apple & Google — app distribution and in-app purchases.
These providers only access the minimum information they need to deliver their service to us.
6. Clinic sharing
If a therapist shares content with you via a clinic QR code (or you share content to a clinic), the content is transmitted through our servers and stored for the purpose of that sharing. You can revoke access and delete shared content at any time inside the app.
7. How long we keep your data
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data from our production systems within 30 days. Anonymised aggregate data (e.g. “how many users created a schedule this week”) may be retained in aggregate form.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your account and data (see Account deletion)
- Object to certain kinds of processing
- Data portability — request an export of your data
- Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority

9. Security
We use industry-standard security practices, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls on our servers. No system is completely immune, so we also encourage you to use a strong password and keep your device up to date.
10. International transfers
OwnMyDay is operated from Australia, and our providers store data on servers that may be located outside your country. When we transfer data internationally, we rely on the safeguards offered by those providers.
11. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll notify you in the app or by email. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
